Acid Golf.

So, as I mentioned in my letter to Anna Wintour (See previous post) I saw a short gentleman outfitted in neon golfing clothes at Bergdorf's last night. Turns out he's a scene regular:

Meet Shail Upadhya. He's a Nepali living in New York who has gained more fame for his eccentric wardrobe than his status as a retired UN official. He's the kind of New Yorker that makes this city what it is, and for that I salute him! Here's some more of his unique brand of style.

I would love to see the inside of this guy's closet. Love.

Stylin' & Profiln': Anna Piaggi

I have a special place in my heart for eccentric stylecons. I love the devotion that some people show to their singular visual sense. Anna Piaggi, Italian fashion writer and renowned expert in all things wearable, is one of the more colorful characters in the fashion industry.

She apparently has an incredibly vast clothing collection and never wears the same outfit in public twice. She brings the crazy to a whole new level on a daily basis. There's no one like her. She also types all of her pieces on a bright red, 1969 Olivetti Valentine typewriter, designed by Ettore Sottsass.

How's that for keeping it real?

Who's that Girl?

The Brazilian Girls have a new album out and it rocks my world. New York City is their third studio effort and the songs have that unmistakable, sexy Brazilian thing going on. Standout tracks are "St. Petersburg", "I'm Losing Myself" and "Nouveau Americain". Lead singer Sabina Sciubba is an arbiter of that crazy brand of style that may scare some people. She's kind of like Bjork's multi-culti, less fussy cousin. Check out some stylin' Sabina moments:

Now go listen to her music! Any woman who can rock balloons or a reflective backing disc deserves the eyes and ears of a wide audience.
