Twitter Break Up: Love Gone Sour

I should have known better. Just shy of a week after signing up to follow Courtney Love on Twitter I have decided to pull the virtual plug and unfollow her. I felt like I was in an abusive relationship. My normally entertaining feed would be filled with endless misspelled/unintelligible/mispunctuated rants and raves that looked like they were typed by a double amputee monkey on a touch screen. Like thirty tweets in a row. I felt abused and misused. So, I'm recanting my previous endorsement of following her for any reason, even though her fashion sense might be a tad interesting. Don't do it. You'll just wanna un do it. Sorry if I led any of you astray.

The Pretty Black Hole.

A Twitpic of CourtneyLover79.

Following Courtney Love (CourtneyLover79) on Twitter is kind of like slipping into a pretty little black hole. Her world is frantic, frequently updated, un-punctuated, ramble-rousing craziness spiked with fun and lots of girly, gorgeous stuff.

She lets tweeters in on homeade fashion projects, including turning a shawl into a dress in an hour.

Sometimes the ranty mumbo jumbo clears and the Lover passes along a nugget of internet goodness, whether it be a blog, a designer's website, or maybe a really great Etsy seller. Also, I've always been fascinated by Courtney's crazy.

Courtney shares her favorite Etsy sellers and a link to The Moldy Doily, all great stuff.

If not for her unique mix of probably undiagnosed brain stuff and insane genius (I once read an article about her challenging everyone she met to timed NYTimes crossword puzzle contests and winning every time!) the world would be lacking a certain spice, if you will, a certain flavor.

Courtney even tweets about tweeting, or as she refers to it, "Twatting". ha.

Love has always embraced the internet and Twitter has become her new outlet. When a list of 10 tweets in a row pop up from her on my feed, I feel a little assaulted, but usually it hurts so good. Just like Courtney Love should.

I want to float too.

I can't decide whether this image of a floating Cate Blanchett channeling Bob Dylan makes me want to be reborn as a classy Aussie actress with great bone structure, or wear skinny boy suits for the rest of my days. Either way I love it.

On another note, I really hope that the days of
ballooning tops over stretchy black leggings are a thing of the past, but...

sweet lacy half tights can just barely be called leggings. I predict they will be stretched delicately over hip thighs before too long. Just remember they aren't opaque and you should wear appropriate
over clothes please.

A match made in heaven:

C-Love 3.0 meets her future self! Maybe she finally read her free copy of Karl's don'teat book.

Fashion week(s) round-up to follow.
