Crack Is Whack.

State Senator Eric Adams is on a crusade to end crack abuse and I wholeheartedly support his campaign. The Huffington Post posted a piece on this PSA announcement the statesman scripted and starred in an effort to end the epidemic that is taking over city streets, causing humiliation and ruin for youth across the island of Manhattan and it's boroughs. It's terrible. It's crack and it's whack.

Yes! Stop the Sag! I swear, I--in all of my infinite fashion wisdom--cannot even begin to understand how these boys keep their pants up, let alone how they can be walking, productive members of society in that state of partial dress. I'm all for freedom of expression, but I'm just thinking of the kids. How can you concentrate on math problems when you are trying with all of your might to keep your pants around your upper thighs? Hmmm? Stop the Sag!

Upper Lip Lovin'

A glut of media attention has proved that 2008 was the year of the mustache. According to The Huffington Post the surplus of scruff is economy related. Apparently the higher the unemployment rate, the lower the shaving rate. Corporate types are tossing the razor while they are on the dole and letting the facial fuzz flourish. I say bring on the 'stache. Go nuts, jobless guys! If this is what makes you feel better, I'm a fan. I'm a girl who loves some scruff on a guy, although unfortunately it is always more form than function (beard burn anyone?). I think I could definitely learn to love a 'stache. James Franco's Milk mustache warmed me up to the idea. One thing is certain though, if you are going to fuzz it up, you need to keep things clean. I can think of few things more stomach turning than bits of food caught in the crosshairs of a guy's face. So, invest in one of these and don't leave home without it:

It's a mustache comb necklace from the super-cool, Portland-based, online clothing boutique Makool Loves You. Ladies, don't leave all of the fuzzy-lipped fun for the guys. Take a hint from trend spotter Jill Sherman over at the always tasty Trend de la Creme and get your self your very own 'stache. Then you too can have a practical reason to sport the comb necklace.

And, if you'd rather eat a mustache than grow one, you are in luck! Neapolitan Printing & Co. makes a chocolate mustache on a stick.
Mmmmmm, mustache.

Spendy Sarah

Today's Style Section in the New York Times has two articles featuring Sexy Sarah's (follow the link and scroll down to the despicable, highbrow spot) spending habits. She's spent no less than $49,425 at Saks Fifth Avenue alone, which firmly proves that you cannot buy style. Just look at that MILF-Goes-to-the-Whitehouse spiked heel boots and tight red suit combo above. Now, I can see the position of claiming sexism when her wardrobe is scrutinized and the suits typically sported by male candidates for office can set them back a few grand, but I think the media is reveling in the opportunity to poke holes in her average American Hockey Mom persona.

The average American's 7 year old daughter named Piper doesn't carry around a Louis Vuitton bag allegedly paid for by the RNC. It's only speculation, but I'm just saying...

Here's some shots of a pre-spree Palin looking like her average Mom self:

Can I run for office? Apparently it works wonders for your wardrobe.

I hear some of you raising your ridiculous meters from here, but if she were qualified, or at least a capable candidate, no one would be focusing solely on what she's got in her closet. Especially not me. Well, maybe just once in a while.
