Fun With Etsy!: Hot Mess Edition!

I've said it before, I'll say it again: I love Etsy, and in so many ways. I love that people are making, buying, and selling crafty goodness. But I also love how brilliantly bad some of the stuff on offer is. Welcome to the Hot Mess Edition of Fun With Etsy! Yay. Let's get right to it, shall we?

This ensemble is marketed as a hot little cosplay costume, or "everyday flirty wear." When your anime-inspired dress-up gear becomes your daily wardrobe, you need assistance.

This is an "Op Art Thingamabob." It's only $45! Look at it! Look more! Feel weird. Turn away.

This is the definition of a hot mess. It's a flaming bib!

This is a line called Resetcouture. On the site it's trademarked. Something tells me they don't need the legal protection against copycats.

There are bows on her head. And her pants are undone a touch. Nice!

Hot Tranny Mess Jeans: for the real ladies who like to look fake.

This is a hat with adjustable dreads. Just in case you need to shorten your fake dreads.

If you want any of these items, may god bless you, and you can find more information by clicking on any of the hot, messy images. Stay tuned for the kid's edition of Fun With Etsy! It'll be great.

What you're doing here is pretty mean spirited. I think people that want to participate in the handmade movement are pretty admirable, whether or not the objects are something I personally would purchase.

I love Etsy, I do. I also feel that people making things themselves is never a bad thing. I do however reserve the right to tease a little. It's all in good fun.
