The Art of Rodarte
The Mulleavey Sisters are the detail delirious duo behind the ultra-couture line Rodarte. I've always loved them for their undeniable talent and their humble passion for the artistry of clothing construction. They keep the frills on their dresses and themselves firmly down to earth. The behind the seams article and accompanying images in this weekend's Times sheds a bit more light on them and their beautiful vision. Autumn de Wilde's backstage photos bring to mind Degas's tiny dancers in the wings.
