Like An Open Book

Moleskine is the notebook of champions. The remarkably simple, yet satisfyingly sturdy and substantial little blank books have served as trusted diaries, sketchbooks, planners, and notebooks for many artists, writers, musicians, and regular folk for years and years. The lovely people who make Moleskines came up with an ingenious idea for a traveling exhibition of their products. They had artists put their open sketchbooks on display in a show called DETOUR. This is a brave move on the part of the artists, and a brilliant opportunity for fans to peek into their creative process. Although seeing the books in person would be great, Moleskine took the time to make little flipbook style videos of each notebook they featured. Here are some of my favorite fashion-related flips:

Eric Bergere

Christian Lacroix

Cynthia Rowley

Ruben Toledo

Liselotte Watkins

You can virtually flip through each and every one of the Moleskines that was on display in all of the exhibition cities. Shhh, don't tell the sisterhood but the non-fashiony ones are even more delicious. I'm feeling under the weather today and I can think of no better way to spend my sick time. Wanna join me?
