The Mulleavy Sisters got some love on The Medium, The Times's TV/media blog written by Virginia Heffernan, for being "awesome and strange sister geeks." I think it's intended as a very high compliment. You already know that I love Rodarte and the Mulleavys almost as much as a fat kid loves cake, so watching them talk about their Asian horror film and blood-soaked cloth inspirations is pure joy for me, and apparently for Heffernan as well. Such a good reminder that the people who are really talented in the fashion industry are not in it to look better than you, to be an image, to be pretentious. They are passionate and talented and in love with what they do. I heart them so much.
